Shopping with a purpose
Many of the women we teach in Soweto are former brew makers. Once they got saved, they decided to give up brew. Now they have no income. They have recently begun to make beads and then necklaces to earn money. They are asking us to help them "get a market". I don't know how to go about finding a place for them to sell, but I did know some folks this week who were all too happy to invest in their new business. I took the BDBCers and went shopping for some beads. Let me just say that they bought enough to feed quite a few families this month. When I come home in LESS THAN THREE MONTHS, expect some beads!
