Homesick

God's word reminds us that this world is not our home. Do you ever feel like a stranger...like an alien...like you're not sure where to park for a while? It's really a GOOD thing. I don't want to be settled/complacent. But why is it so hard sometimes? And how on earth do you explain it to someone?!! Maybe my blog will help you understand. I hope you enjoy.

Prague

I'm guessing that I would like Prague if I visited there when it is warmer. However, this is the second time I have been there...both times in January. I can't get past the freezing cold long enough to be objective about whether or not I like it there. Right now the answer is NO. It might be pretty at another time of year, but as I looked at it through my icy breath, I vowed never to return. Add to that the fact that I don't know a single word in Czech and I'm done with the sites of Prague.
On a more positive note, I did enjoy being with Amy...you may remember her from last summer's Mazatlan pics. She's doing Int'l World Changers in Macedonia this year. I'm doing it in Seville, of course. But we got to go to the Coordinator's retreat together, so that was fun!
The picture? We're at Prague castle. It was colder inside than outside since the marble floor felt like ice under my feet. And the HOLY WATER was FROZEN!!! You would think they could at least heat a spot near it to keep it from freezing...not that I understand the whole holy water concept anyway.
