Homesick

God's word reminds us that this world is not our home. Do you ever feel like a stranger...like an alien...like you're not sure where to park for a while? It's really a GOOD thing. I don't want to be settled/complacent. But why is it so hard sometimes? And how on earth do you explain it to someone?!! Maybe my blog will help you understand. I hope you enjoy.

This evening we did another round of teaching in a community called Buziga. About 90 ladies showed up for this one. This is Claudia's group of jajjas (the word for grandmother which is what you call all old women to show respect). There are usually about 25 who come. Tonight there were 90something. The sad part is that they came because they heard American nurses were coming. They got a little upset when they realized we didn't bring them any free medicine. The good news is, we got to share with them about the only HOPE they have...Jesus Christ. They may suffer here on earth, but they were presented with the One who can free them from their suffering. Pray that they will seek a relationship with the One, True, Living God! Posted by Picasa
