Homesick

God's word reminds us that this world is not our home. Do you ever feel like a stranger...like an alien...like you're not sure where to park for a while? It's really a GOOD thing. I don't want to be settled/complacent. But why is it so hard sometimes? And how on earth do you explain it to someone?!! Maybe my blog will help you understand. I hope you enjoy.

a new discovery

The other day I was out walking (lost) and happened upon this restaurant. I didn't go in, but laughed when I thought about what a Spanaird might think should be served in a "Texas saloon". So far it is clear that Spanairds think that everything in America is BIG...the people, the dogs, the food, the cars, the houses...every topic that comes up in my language class, the teacher (Spanaird) and the other students (Germans) all comment on how everything in America is bigger. It makes me feel bad. We just live such an excessive lifestyle. Sadly, they are right.
Anyhoo, I'm trying to get someone to go with me to this Texas saloon so I can see what they think Texas might be like. Anyone want to go?
