The unthinkable has happened. The Kampala Christian Church Network and Life Ministries has gotten it's hands on a sound system and a keyboard. I know that probably sounds like a good thing to you, but unless you have an understanding of Africans and sound equiptment, you have no idea how BAD it is. This morning, it was so loud and the sound was so distorted that I had to walk outside and then very far away to escape it. They all seemed to enjoy it even though the rhythm of the auto-beat on the keyboard had nothing to do with the rhythm of the song they were singing. And you absolutely could not understand a word anyone sang...even if it was in English. They replaced the drums with this system. They are trying so hard to be what they see on tv...matching outfits, keyboards, microphones. Please pray with me that they will not turn into a show church! That is my biggest fear...that and going deaf!
