Homesick

God's word reminds us that this world is not our home. Do you ever feel like a stranger...like an alien...like you're not sure where to park for a while? It's really a GOOD thing. I don't want to be settled/complacent. But why is it so hard sometimes? And how on earth do you explain it to someone?!! Maybe my blog will help you understand. I hope you enjoy.

Chiamaka

I am way behind on posting news. This is the biggest news. It's Chiamaka!!!! My Nigerian friend, Lillian, had her baby on Sept 28 and I got to be there just hours afterward. Actually, I was supposed to be there for the birth, but my phone died and I missed her numerous calls. I felt bad, but am kind of relieved. I don't do hospitals and blood. Just helping her the next morning with her IV and pain meds and stuff made me about faint several times. But anyway, the baby came late Monday night by C-section and I was there early the next morning. They named her Chiamaka. It means "God is good". Amen to that! Have you ever seen a prettier newborn??? She is only about 15 hours old here!
