Homesick

God's word reminds us that this world is not our home. Do you ever feel like a stranger...like an alien...like you're not sure where to park for a while? It's really a GOOD thing. I don't want to be settled/complacent. But why is it so hard sometimes? And how on earth do you explain it to someone?!! Maybe my blog will help you understand. I hope you enjoy.

Workin' for a livin'

I went with Sarah downtown yesterday to buy fabric to have a kitengi (African dress) made. This is the street where they sell all the good fabric and then make whatever you want right there in the street. There were tailors as far as the eye could see.
I bought the fabric for the dress, the lining, and the two zippers for 21,000 shillings and then the labor to have it made is 10,000/=. That makes the entire dress about $15. You can't beat that with a stick. I'll take a pic in it so you can see how great I look in it when it's done. You watch for it. Posted by Picasa
